Measure migration success beyond install counts
A platform migration succeeds when people recover their routines, not when downloads peak.
Install volume says that distribution worked. It does not show whether existing customers found their accounts, restored key settings or completed the work they came to do.
Follow the recovered journey
Define the familiar actions that matter to established customers and observe how quickly they resume them on the new platform. Segment by previous platform, tenure and release cohort so acquisition does not hide migration friction.
Pair behaviour with evidence
Support themes, store feedback and short customer interviews explain why behavioural gaps appear. Use them alongside completion and retention measures to prioritise fixes with both scale and context.
